bad grammar and good thoughts from Walter

A different look

It has only been four months since Capstone began gathering her leaders. Since August we have been casting vision and sharing our mission with anyone who wanted to hear about a new kind church in Fountain Inn. Some who heard questioned if something like that would work in a small town. Others were so excited they couldn’t contain their joy.

It is amazing how we (Chris and I) imagined what Capstone would look like when we dreamed this past summer. And now we are a few weeks away from our official launch with a total different picture than we imaged. For us – our pray has never been to create a church that we wanted, but the church He wanted. So that has meant pieces we thought were 100% in are now no where in sight. But pieces we didn’t even know existed are now making Capstone Church happen.
Is it a different look- yes. And that is ok by me. For some reason when we think we know what something SHOULD look like – God gives us a different look.

Laser Like Focus

I am by no means a GREAT BLOGGER.  But a lot of the times I have things rumbling in my mind that no one really wants to read on our The Tanner’s Blog.  Many of the those times it deals more with church, scripture, church planting, or leadership.  This blog will be specifically for those things and the lessons I will be learning along the way of planting my first church – Capstone Church.  It will probably be more like my MISTAKES along the way… and a few Successes.
