Capstone Church

HISTORY:

Capstone Church is the vision of Chris Barrineau.  Chris was a student pastor in Fountain Inn at Trinity United Methodist Church.  The Lord placed a burden on his heart to see something new in this small traditional town.  Not knowing what the next step was Chris began to pray about starting a new church in Fountain Inn.

You may be asking: “If Capstone was Chris’ idea why are you the Lead Pastor?”  I ask myself that all the time!  LOL  Chris and I had grown very close over the years as allies in Student Ministry.  Chris shared his vision with me and we both begin to pray with our families about starting a different kind of church to reach different kinds of people.  

In March of 2008 at a beach retreat with our wives we came up with the name Capstone Church from Psalm 118.  From then on it was no turning back.  I resigned from my position as Student Pastor at my church and my wife resign as a law clerk.  We sold our house and packed up our three month old baby to move into Chris’ Guest House.  The rest is history. [Chris is the EXECUTIVE PASTOR at Capstone - my boss - and the Activities Director for the city of Fountain Inn]
